Online lessons are also available

These are conducted through the Zoom program and require students to have access to a practice pad (or even better, their own drum set), a pair of sticks and a webcam with a microphone.

My Teaching

I can confidently cater for people with no prior experience who may be interested in learning a new instrument, while similarly I have a wealth of material that will challenge and help the development of intermediate and advanced players.

I offer one to one drum tuition from my home studio in Kirkburn and home visits can be arranged if you have your own drum kit. I am fully DBS/CRB checked, and hold a Safeguarding Children in Education certificate.

"Andy is a great drum teacher. He explains things so they are very easy to understand and above all, he is very patient! Highly recommended!" Tim, J.

"Andy caters for a variety of players, styles and drumming needs! Approaching tasks with a mind set the individual would understand, and explaining it with a detailed yet chilled out way. All round extremely nice teacher and filled with drumming knowledge! Would highly recommend." Jack, B.

"Andy is a great teacher with a really chilled out approach. He takes you through the different rudiments at your own pace. And he was totally unfazed with teaching an older woman going through a mid life crisis!" Jeanette, M.
